We've ordered from several suppliers — none come close to this level of quality and service. Will 100% reorder.

The free 2D design mockup sold us immediately. Exactly what we saw in the preview was what arrived at our door.

Frequently Asked Questions

How stable is a freestanding fabric partition in a busy room? +
A folding partition stands up because of its shape, not its weight. Set the panels in a shallow zig-zag rather than pushing them out into a dead-straight line and the structure braces itself; straighten it fully and you have created a tall flat sail that will eventually go over. Where people are moving past, angle the end panels inwards so the run has a genuine footprint. If you truly need a straight line, split it into two shorter runs rather than one long flat wall.
How many panels do I need for the space I want to divide? +
Work backwards from the opening: measure it in metres with a tape before choosing between the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 panel versions, and allow for the fact that a zig-zag arrangement covers less linear distance than the panels measure laid flat. Going one size up is usually the right call, because a partition that is slightly too long can be angled or folded back on itself, while one that is too short leaves a gap that defeats the purpose. A meeting corner needs 2 or 3 panels; screening storage or a changing zone usually needs 5 or 7.
Can the same partition be reconfigured into different shapes? +
The panels join magnetically, so the same set becomes a straight screen, a shallow curve, an L-shape around a corner or a U enclosing a space, and changes again in seconds without tools. That is the practical advantage over a fixed screen or a hired partition wall. Remember that shape affects both stability and how much linear distance the run actually covers, so try the configurations you expect to use beforehand rather than improvising in front of an audience.
Are these suitable for offices and permanent use, not just events? +
They work well in offices, showrooms and training rooms as well as at events, typically to create a quiet corner in open-plan space or to hide storage in a retail area. Because nothing is fixed to the building there is no making good afterwards and no conversation with a landlord, which is why they suit leased space particularly well. For a permanent position, keep them out of doorways and main circulation routes where they will be knocked repeatedly, and check the fabric occasionally for marks at hand height.
Do magnetic partitions block sound? +
Be realistic here: a fabric partition manages sight lines, not sound. It gives visual privacy and defines an area so that people treat it as a separate room, and the fabric surface takes a small edge off reflected noise, but it will not stop a conversation being overheard from the other side. If confidentiality genuinely matters, use the partition to define the space and hold the sensitive conversation elsewhere. Expecting a screen to work as soundproofing is the most common disappointment with this product type.
Can each panel carry different artwork? +
Yes. Panels are printed individually, so you can run one continuous image across the whole partition, treat each panel as a separate message, or put a strong graphic on the visitor side and something plainer on the rear. Think about which side people actually see: a partition screening storage usually needs an impressive front and a neutral back. Free artwork assistance and free 2D mockups are included, so email support@backdropsource.co.uk and we will show you the panel layout before it prints.
How do partitions fold down, travel and store? +
Partitions fold concertina-style and are designed to be carried and repositioned by one person, which is the main reason they get used regularly instead of living in a cupboard. Store them folded and upright rather than flat under other equipment, and make sure they are dry before putting them away, as a damp fabric panel stored folded will mark. Free UK delivery is included on every order and each product carries a 1-year warranty. If you move them between sites often, use a padded bag or case.
What is the difference between a partition and the portable magnetic stands in this range? +
The Fabric Magnetic Partition Displays are freestanding screens meant to divide floor space and be seen from both sides, so they are shaped to stand out in the open. The Portable Magnetic Straight, Curved, Rampant, Inclined and Slope Fabric Stands are display walls: they present a graphic to an audience in front of them, usually against a wall or as the back of an exhibition stand. If the problem is "people can see into this area", buy a partition; if it is "people need to see our brand", buy a stand. Events at Farnborough International often call for both on the same stand.
